This is an inspiring journey through historical What Ifs and gets one thinking of how just that simple question leads to new discoveries and ideas. It’s a beautiful mix of the realistic and the fantastical! Leaves one with a wonderful feeling of what is possible.

I loved the “what if” motto of the book! I think this is a perfect message to spread around and get out there. Everyone could learn a little something by reading!!

I enjoyed the relationship between the young fella and the robot. It was surprising, sparked my interest and brought warmth to the story.

I love the mantra behind this (don’t accept what is, ask what if). Kids need this inspiration and we need kids to be inspired to keep making the world better! The illustrations fit the words so well. I would love to read this to my students to inspire them and work on rhymes.

What an incredible lesson to show children how to harness their curiosity and transform it into ideas that make the world a better place – not to mention it’s beautiful illustrations. It inspires me to ask more questions!

What inspired me the most was that the"what if..." scenarios did a good job of spanning different problems to solve and for a young mind would hopefully bring awareness to just how many amazing things humankind has created. Just the concept alone of "what if..." leaves so much more to be discussed with a child after the book is finished, just asking the questions and seeing where kids mind takes it will be wonderful!

I loved how it told kids not to put away their thoughts. I love the concept of if you can dream it, try to create it. It beautifully allows space for kids to realize their thoughts and dreams. Every kid should read this book

This captures the spirit of the influence we are living for our family. We read every day and every night; our favorite books display similar stories and adventure. We go to story time there once a week.

I love the encouragement to push oneself and ask questions, and to challenge the status quo. My favorite part of the book is “there’s so much here that we could fix! Let’s just get started. The clock — it ticks.” Poignant, urgent, and hopeful. I hope many children get to read this book and feel inspired to make a difference.

I love what “what if “ stands for in the next generation (littles and graduates) …let’s not look at what is right in front of us…let’s look at what could be!

It’s such an incredible question - what if? It gets everyone out of a mindset of “yes” or “no” and into questioning. Once you’re there, you can solve so many problems.
